John Rizzo is the Sr. Vice President, Business Development and Programs for Sagrad Inc. He leads a multi-segment team representing Sagrad’s commercial aerospace, defense and government offerings to domestic and international customers. In this role, Rizzo has the responsibility to lead Global Business Development’s execution of business strategy, strategic customer engagement, and develop the corporation’s business and market analytics process and programs. He also leads Sagrad strategic programs to ensure customer complete satisfaction.
Rizzo moved to his current role at Sagrad in February 2020. There he was responsible for implementing the business segment’s growth strategies and developing the segment’s capabilities and strategic programs through strategic planning, partnership development, and innovative internal research and development programs.
Prior to his role at Sagrad, Rizzo was the President of a defense design, manufacturing and test company. Where he built a successful defense products business whose products included Avionics, Self-Protection Systems, Communications, and Collection systems for the U.S. Military, NATO, Agencies and Commercial Defense organizations.
Adding to his professional credits, John is active in and has held leadership positions in the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), Air Force Association (AFA), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Navy League, National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Association of Old Crows (AOC), Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and the Institute of Navigation (ION) Dayton Chapter.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in business and Administration from the University of Phoenix
