US Space Force Operations Command Visits Sagrad Inc.

Sagrad welcomed a visit from the US Space Force Operations Command on April 12, 2023. Sagrad provided a briefing of the Autonomous Flight Termination Unit that Sagrad has been manufacturing since 2017 and our next generation, Integrated Autonomous Flight Termination Unit (IAFTU) that is a smaller version of the fielded AFTU. The visit included a tour of the production and test facility.

John Rizzo, Sr. V.P. Business/Programs said, “the use of AFTU or IAFTU on upcoming launches will be instrumental in ensuring launch success with a greatly reduced infrastructure that assures greater access to space”.

Sagrad will continue to support commercial and military launch vehicles with AFSS, ensuring that their respective launches will comply with established federal launch requirements and meet range safety.
